Jon Bauckham

I’m Jon, digital commissioning editor at HistoryExtra. I edit content for the website and print magazine, but my main responsibility is managing HistoryExtra’s Apple News channel, where I create and curate articles for millions of readers around the world. I’m also a regular host on the HistoryExtra podcast, presenting episodes on everything from D-Day to DNA analysis. The past has always been my passion. Before beginning my career in publishing, I graduated from the University of Bristol with a first-class honours degree in history, and I also hold a diploma in local history from the University of Oxford.

The image combines several historical scenes, including the entrance to Hampton Court Palace, a section of the Bayeux Tapestry showing the battle of Hastings, and a black-and-white photograph of a woman working in a wartime factory. Bright, semi-transparent blocks of colour and large question marks overlay the collage, while the words "Daily Quiz" appear in bold white text in the bottom-left corner.
